Recently, the Office of the Construction and Coordination Group of Academician Expert Workstation Zhejiang Province released the announcement for the List of Academician Workstations and Key Supported Academician Workstations in Zhejiang Province in 2022. TYK Medicines, Inc (hereinafter referred to as “TYK medicines”) was officially authorized and granted as the Academician Expert Workstation of Zhejiang Province.

The Academician Expert Workstation of Zhejiang Province, with Academician Yangjie Wu and Dr. Yusheng Wu as academic leaders, has fostered a research and development team integrating academia, research, and industry. The team is dedicated to the research and industrialization of internationally targeted anti-tumor innovative drugs with national intellectual property rights and has developed more than 20 innovative drug projects, of which 4 projects have been granted clinical approval in China and the United States, and 1 project has entered the clinical trial phase III stage.

In May 2019, the company introduced Academician Yangjie Wu of the Chinese Academy of Sciences to set up the targeted anti-tumor innovative drugs research and industrialization Academician Expert Workstation (hereinafter referred as to “TYK Medicines Academician Expert Workstation”). Since its establishment, TYK Medicines Academician Expert Workstation has achieved many achievements in the areas of structure design, synthesis technology, industrial application, and strategic consulting of targeted anti-tumor innovative drugs, applied for more than 60 invention patents, and obtained 11 patents authorization. In 2020, the company’s innovative drug development project was awarded as the key R&D project (Merit-based project) in Zhejiang Province, the special biomedical project in Huzhou City, and the key technological innovation project in Zhejiang Province. In 2021, two innovative drug projects were selected as foreign expert projects by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China. In 2022, the innovative workstation team of TYK Medicines was awarded Zhejiang Leading Innovation Team.

This time, the TYK Medicines Academician Expert Workstation is recognized as the Academician Expert Workstation of Zhejiang Province, which will further promote the synergistic innovation of technology breakthroughs and industrial applications, and rely on the Academician Expert Workstation to help the scientific and technological innovation and industrial upgrading of Changxing County, Huzhou City, and Zhejiang Province with the development mode of “academician team + source innovation + industrial innovation”.
